Bryant creates realistic and likeable characters that tug at your heartstrings. The characters are richly developed, and the interaction between the characters and Ace's own internal struggle grips the reader from cover to cover.

As much as I enjoyed the first book in the Ace Johnson series, I loved, ‘Things Aren’t What They Seem.’ From the moment I started reading, I couldn’t put it down, devouring the story in one sitting.
